Zack Snyder has surprisingly taken a diplomatic stand on the issue of the new Black Superman reboot while also showing support for Henry Cavill to continue as the superhero in the future.
Surprising because the prolific director is known for making bold statements. Recently, he had even called Warner Bros. out for being ‘aggressively anti-Snyder’ in an interview with Jake’s Takes. His reputation makes his take on the Black Superman reboot worth considering for the irate Cavill fans.
Following the announcement that the superhero franchise was being rebooted without the actor who had played the lead role in “Man of Steel,” Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” and “Justice League,” the studio faced a barrage of online criticism. Choosing to announce it on the actor’s birthday even made it seem crueller.
With many threatening to boycott the film when it is released, Snyder is taking a different route. “… I guess for me it’s just wait and see what they do with this and how it manifests itself, [sic]” he told Radio Times. This came after calling the concept ‘bold and cool’.
To him, Henry Cavill will remain his Superman. Over to you guys, Zack Snyder wants to see the Superman reboot, will you?
