This week, we see Peruzzi’s new jam “Somebody baby” featuring Davido debut in the top ten charts of two out of the three music streaming platforms that we are considering. These platforms – Apple Music, Audiomack, and Boomplay – are the most popular in Nigeria at this time.
“Coming” by Naira Marley and Busiswa finished the week again on a strong foot, topping two charts and coming second in the other. It led the standings on Apple Music daily chart as of its latest update on 4 April 2021, toppling the star-studded “Dimension” single by JAE5.
The platform’s original top ten songs in Nigeria features two foreign songs, “Loved By You” and “Peaches”, both of which are off American singer Justin Beiber’s latest album justice. Since we only consider songs made by Nigerian artists as eligible for our top ten, these two are removed.
Bella Shmurda”World”, the latest Bella Shmurda single, found its way into Apple Music top ten Nigerian songs. This is expected since it is a daily chart. Most of the other songs are also familiar titles from the past weeks except the aforementioned “Somebody Baby”. See how the songs rank on Apple’s music streaming platform chart:
On Audiomack, we see another foreign music make it into the top ten chart in Nigeria again. This time, it is the single “Love Cycle” by Enisa featuring Davido. You can read more about Enisa here to see why her song is popular in Nigeria.

“Loved By You” again makes an entrance on Boomplay charts as well. Its popularity in Nigeria is likely tied to Burna Boy’s contribution to the song. The singer himself has a song, “Way Too Big”, that is just two spots outside the Boomplay top ten Nigerian songs chart this week.
