Disney has dropped a second trailer for their upcoming live-action remake of Lady and the Tramp.
The Lady and the Tramp was originally an animated film that was released in 1995. It was based on the Cosmopolitan magazine story of Happy Dan, The Cynical Dog by Ward Greene. It is set to be released on the 12th of Movember 2019. Unlike other Disney’s remakes, the Lady and the Tramp will be exclusively available on Disney Plus and thus will not receive a theatrical release.
According to Disney, the Lady and the Tramp tells the story of a “pampered house dog and a tough but lovable stray (who) embark on an unexpected adventure and, despite their differences, grow closer and come to understand the value of home.”
Justin Theroux and Tessa Thompson are cast as the voices of Tramp and Lady respectively. Also in the cast are Janelle Monáe ( voices Peg), Sam Elliott (voices Trusty) and Ken Jeong, while Kiersey Clemons (as Darling Dear), Thomas Mann (as Jim Dear) and Yvette Nicole Brown (as Aunt Sarah) play humans in the film.
