Nigerian top-notch filmmaker Kunle has released a snippet of his highly-anticipated upcoming movie – Citation. Yet again, giving more reasons why you shouldn’t hesitate to see the movie.
The movie stars billionaire businessman Femi Otedola’s daughter, Temi Otedola, who makes her Nollywood debut in the movie.
Citation stars Temi as a young female postgraduate student at the university who is dealing with harassment from a lecturer.
Kunle Afolayan says about the film: “CITATION will create awareness on the different forms of violence against women and girls in the public and private sphere. It will educate society on women’s rights and the ways to enforce these rights for the achievement of equality and tranquillity.
“The movie will encourage and embolden women to stand up against mistreatment and abuse by a patriarchal society. It has also been designed to propel women to aspire to become successful leaders and thereby provide counterexamples to negative gender stereotypes.”
Word around is that Temi put in spectacular acting and we certainly can’t wait to see her performance.
