20th Century Fox has released its spy comedy prequel, The King’s Man, the third instalment in the Kingsman franchise.
The King’s Man is a prequel to the first two films of the series which had starred stars like Colin Firth and Taron Egerton, so expect to see new faces such as Ralph Fiennes, Harris Dickinson, Liam Neeson, Daniel Brühl, Rhys Ifans, Gemma Arterton, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Charles Dance, and Djimon Hounsou among many others. And like in the previous films, the is directed by Matthew Vaughan in a story that explores the origins of how the secret spy service came to be.
Here’s the synopsis of The King’s Man: “As a collection of history’s worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man must race against time to stop them. Discover the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency in The King’s Man…”
The two previous films in the franchise — 2014’s Kingsman: The Secret Service and 2017’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle” were also directed by Vaughn and grossed more than $800 million worldwide.
The King’s Man is set for release on February 14th, 2020.
