While it is common for many people to make resolutions this new year, it is not so common for them to continue until even the end of the first quarter, not to talk of the end of the year.

Today, 6 January is the first working day of the year for so many people, when we fit our lives back into the old routine from before the two-week break that gave us enough time to believe that we can achieve anything so that we set lofty aspirational dreams for the new year.

Rather than staying fixated on your resolutions for the new year, why not try breaking these resolutions into small achievable goals so that it is easily achieved?
For example, if you want to lose some weight this year, some small scale goals to break that into are:
- Find some gym appropriate clothes.
- Find an accessible gym.
- Register.
- Start small and work up to increased workouts.
- Stay consistent.
Before long, you would have started shedding the weight you want to. Breaking your goals into smaller achievable goals is the right way to this year.
