The Ooni of Ife gets stuck inside a lift in Lagos.
A hotel in Lagos state encountered a tremendous panic on Thursday, 2nd January 2020 after the Ife monarch got stuck in the hotel’s lift system.
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Olori Naomi, his queen, and other members of his entourage got stuck in the elevate of the hotel on their way to see the musical stage play – Queen Moremi.

Moremi the musical is 90 minutes of dance, drama and music entertainment. It tells the story of the legendary Queen Moremi Ajasoro, how she sacrificed herself and her son to end the trafficking of her people especially women and children.
The stage play was slated to show between 24th December and 2nd January by 3 pm and 7 pm daily, excluding the 25th and 31st December at the Lagos Continental Hotel, Kofo Abayomi Victoria Island, Lagos.
Apparently, the Ooni of Ife and his Queen decided to see the play on the 2nd of January 2020 when the mishap happened. Reports say it took 15 minutes to rectify the lift’s system.
We guess these things happen sometimes.
