BREAKING: Unai Emery sacked from Arsenal after going seven games without win
Arsenal’s head coach, Unai Emery has been sacked from his position as the club’s head coach.

For some, this was expected; for others, this will come as a surprise.

Following the club’s shameful 2-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal fans took to social media to express their displeasure.

The Gunners have won only four Premier League matches out of 13 this season, placing them in the eighth position.

Arsenal has failed to win seven games in a row now, something fans are incensed about, trending #EmeryOut on Twitter.

Arsenal is still on course to make it to the round of 32 for the Europa League, but this loss is the club’s worst run since 1992.

According to Sky News, Unai Emery has been sacked following the disastrous results from the last game, with Freddie Ljungberg temporarily in charge.

Club director Josh Kroenke said: “Our most sincere thanks go to Unai and his colleagues who were unrelenting in their efforts to get the club back to competing at the level we all expect and demand.

“We wish Unai and his team nothing but future success.”

Arsenal’s statement continued: “The decision has been taken due to results and performances not being at the level required.

“We have asked Freddie Ljungberg to take responsibility for the first team as interim head coach. We have full confidence in Freddie to take us forward.

“The search for a new head coach is underway and we will make a further announcement when that process is complete.”
