The record-breaking superstar is reported to be unhappy with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez who apparently has broken several promises to him. One example of such, according to Correiho De Manha is a €14 million increase from his annual wages which never happened even after Ronaldo had seen his peers/rivals such as Neymar and Leo Messi sign deals to earn much more than him in their respective clubs.
Other factors that may be leading to such a decision include the rumours that Real Madrid intends to sign Neymar which he may interpret as the management no longer seeing him as the best and the departure of Coach Zinedine Zidane who he has a very good relationship with.
He also has a pending tax fraud issue with the Spanish authorities that could very well lead to jail time if things go badly. This is also said to be a very significant factor pushing him to leave the Spanish giants.
If I had to take a wild guess, I’d say the team Ronaldo would be hoping to go back to is Manchester United where he gained stardom before leaving for Madrid.
