Kenyan athlete Nicholas Bett dies in tragic car crash

Two-time African Championship winner, Nicholas Bett has died in his home country Kenya after he lost control of his vehicle.

 Bett was a two-time African Championship medallist hurdler

According to reports, the 28-year-old lost control of his car after hitting a bump in the road.

His death was confirmed by family and police after the incident occurred.

Bett’s death comes a day after his return from the Continental Championships in Nigeria.

In 2015 he became the first Kenyan to win a gold medal in a short distance race at the championships in Beijing.

Bett has a twin brother, Aron Kipchumba Koech who also happens to be a 400-metre hurdler.
