After a rather eventful and successful 2018 for the queen of R&B in Nigeria, which saw her win the award for the Best African Act at the MTV EMAs in Bilbao, Spain, Tiwa Savage, released a thankful and inspirational track titled “One”.
One, produced by Killertunes, is a mid-tempo record delivered in a mix of Yoruba and English language.
In the track, Tiwa Savage recounts her blessings as she lists her feats and mentions herself as one of those who have been most fortunate in the year.
Tiwa Savage released One on the 15th of November 2018 and the video to the song, which was shot by Capital Dreams was published on YouTube on the 7th of December 2018.
The video was temporarily removed from YouTube over copyright claims from singer Danny Young who contended that the track used a line from his song, “Oju Ti Won”, without permission.
The claim was eventually settled out of court.
The video has garnered over 2million views to date.
