Nigerian musician Emmanuel Bez Idakula, popularly known as Bez, after a five-year interval between his debut album, “Supersun”, and his highly anticipated sophomore album, finally delivers the project on the 18th of November 2016.

He called the album “Gbagyi Child”.

Gbagyi Child was the second studio album by the Nigerian recording artist and it was released independently through Bez Idakula Global, the artist’s own imprint. The album was co-written and produced by Cobhams Asuquo featuring Simi and Yemi Alade.

Although it took a while to get a new body of work from Bez, many would agree that Gbagyi Child was definitely worth the wait.

Making the album took a conscious effort and trip back to his village, Karu, listening to the local music being played and then sampling that music into what he would normally create.

Bez also revealed they gathered the best local instrumentalists for a three-hour session of pure magic and the sounds that came forth was taken to New York for recording with a band, and then on to Houston (Texas), and then to Nashville (Tennessee), where the guitars, horns, and finishing percussive touches were applied.
