His film, The Lost Okoroshi, made its world premiere as part of TIFF’s Discovery program.
The film tells the story of Raymond (Seun Ajayi), a security guard (and something of a layabout) whose main preoccupations are checking out women and figuring out how to escape the bustle of Lagos in favour of the more relaxed countryside. That was until he was visited by his ancestor’s spirits and was transformed into a traditional masquerade.
Sharing his experience at the event, Abba shared photos on his Instagram page with the caption:
“It’s my first time seeing @thelostokoroshi on such a massive screen. What a humbling experience. The audience loved it and Q and A was amazing! Thank you @tiff_net.”
Check out Abba’s red carpet look to the world premiere. It’s akin to the Lost Okoroshi, if we say so ourselves. Africa representing.
