A former spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, arrived the Federal High Court, Abuja, venue of his ongoing corruption trial on a stretcher.

He was brought to the court via an ambulance.

This was because the court presided by Justice Okon Abang had refused an earlier application by the counsel to Metuh asking for a long adjournment of the case as their client was receiving treatment for spinal cord complications at the  Nnamdi Azikiwe specialist hospital. The judge had threatened to allow the application made by the prosecution for the revocation of Mr Metuh’s bail if the defendant was not in court on Monday. A situation that prompted the drama witnessed today.

By and large, Justice Abang finally relented and adjourned the matter until March 15.
