The album consists of 18 complete tracks which come with different varieties of sound and melody. Gabriel does not feature any other artist on his album.
Instinct also features his previously released songs like Amoke and Take a Chance. All the songs on the album were mixed by Geofficialmix & Mastered by Vtek.
In an interview with The Punch, Gabriel described his musical genre as Love ballad. In another interview with tribune, the actor also stated that his music career started in 1997, citing 2face, Banky W and Bez as his influence.
