Titled Infamous: The Tekashi 6ix9ine Story, the series will follow Tekashi aka Daniel Hernandez from his life as a high school dropout working at a local deli, to his fame, then circle back to his current life as a convict.
The documentary will be narrated by Angie Martinez. Weekly episodes will begin airing on Spotify from 28 January.
Tekashi will appear before a judge today, 18 December to receive sentencing on federal racketeering and firearms charges.
The rapper has also testified against former fellow gang members in an effort to reduce his sentence.
