The incident happened this morning at a Shoprite mall in Abuja, according to an eyewitness. The rejected lady who was accompanied by friends had approached the boyfriend, knelt down and offered him a ring. At first, he looked at her in disbelief and after a staring at her for some time, helped her to her feet and then walked away. Ouch!
The distressed lady subsequently ran out of the mall.

And before anyone accuses Sidomex of being insensitive, take a moment to reflect whether you’ll call us so had the boyfriend accepted the proposal. Truth is there is only one of two outcomes, acceptance or rejection and the lady knows it. Since the proposal was made in public, odds largely favoured that the outcome will become public knowledge as in this case.
