Spanish giant, Real Madrid have reportedly contacted last Chelsea coach, Antonio Conte, as their first choice to replace Julen Lopetegui if he fails to turn the club around after their poor run.
The club’s directors on Monday contacted the Italian and have held initial talks with Conte to see if he would be keen on coaching the club, with the current coach Julen Lopetegui given just three must-win games to save his job.
In a new report by Italian publication, Corriere Dello Sport, it was claimed that current Real Madrid boss Lopetegui has just three games to save his job after a topsy-turvy start to the new season at the Santiago Bernabeu.
According to the publication, Real Madrid chiefs are unhappy with the manager they controversially appointed in the summer as the club are fourth in La Liga after eight games.
They have lost three of their last four games with Sevilla, CSKA Moscow and Alaves all claiming wins over Real Madrid.
He must make sure his side avoid defeats against Levante, Viktoria Plzen and their first El Clasico of the season against Barcelona.
