Amazon now offers lossless HD streaming! Try it free for 90 days

They may not be the first to offer the service but they sure beat Apple and Spotify in getting the service to their subscribers.

Amazon now offers CD-quality music streaming to subscribers to its music streaming services, according to information on its website.

The service called Amazon Music HD will give subscribers access to over 50 million high-resolution tracks at CD quality and better. The songs will be delivered lossless FLAC file format at 16-bit files and sample rates of 44.1kHz and above.

Amazon is not the first company to offer lossless streaming as smaller platforms such as Tidal, Deezer and Qobuz have always offered lossless streaming as one of its competitive advantages. While Tidal offers the service at $19.99 per month, Amazon Music HD will cost $14.99 ($12.99 for Prime members).

Meanwhile, Amazon says new subscribers can enjoy a 90-day free trial of the service.
