LG unveils world’s first rollable OLED TV

LG Electronics has introduced the world’s first rollable television screen at CES 2019.

The rollable TV has a variable form factor only made possible by OLED technology.

From the start of technology, televisions have steadily increased in size and complexity. Manufacturers are now racing to create TVs that are slimmer and take up less space.

Dubbed the LG Signature OLED TV R with the R representing Revolution, the TV is set to revolutionise technology with its ability to roll up and down at the touch of a button.

This new technology frees up space for users to store things on the space that ordinarily would have been taken by an ordinary TV.

It has three view options: Line view, Zero view and Full view.

Line views opens up the TV partially enabling the use of minor features like Clock, Frame, Music and Home dashboard.

In Zero view, all 65 inches of the television are hidden from view; audio can still be played with this view.

In full mode, the entire TV screen is available for use to watch movies with the entire family, as the need may be.
