The UK prime minister, Boris Johnso, has tested positive for COVID-19, which is popularly known as Coronavirus.
The Coronavirus (Covid-19), which has been spreading through countries and has killed more than 24 thousand people since it first reported in Wuhan, China at the beginning of the year.
The novel coronavirus, officially named SARS CoV-2 by the World Health Organisation (WHO), has affected a number of public figures and Boris Johnson has just tested positive to the virus.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, the prime minister made the announcement stating that he has mild symptoms and will self-isolate in Downing Street, his official resident. He also stated that he will continue to take charge of the government’s handling of the crisis.
In the video, which he posted on his Twitter handle on Friday, 27th March 2020, he says: “Hi guys, I want to bring you up to speed with something that’s happening today, which is I have developed mild symptoms of the coronavirus, that is to temperature and persistent cough. And on the advice of the chief medical officer, I have taken a test that has come out positive. ”
