The Legend of Inikpi is finally out; Derenle tells Nigerians why they should see the movie

The long wait for the movie, The Legend Inikpi, is finally over as the movie hits the cinemas today!

Yay! The movie we’ve all been waiting for is finally here.

The Legend of Inikpi is Nigerian actress Mercy Johnson Okojie’s first try at movie direction and from all Indication, the movie promises to be worth the wait.

The movie was given a befitting premier as the heavily pregnant actress rocked her baby bump in a stunning dress.

Media personality, Derenle who was present at the movie premiere shared some pictures from the premiere on his Instagram page and urged Nigerians and fans of the actress to go see the movie.

In an Instagram post, Derenle Edun further made the case for Nigerians to go see the film, which he calls a “masterpiece“.

He continues: “Why, I hear you ask?
“The story of Late Princess Inikpi is one of bravery and heroism. She was the only beloved daughter of Ayegbu Oma Idoko, former Atta of Igala Kingdom. The people called her Inikpi Oma’fedo Baba which meant “Inikpi, the father’s beloved”.
When the war broke out between the Benin and Igala kingdoms, Princess Inikpi was instrumental in saving the Igala tribe.”
