Coronavirus in Nigeria update: 643 new cases of coronavirus confirmed in Nigeria

Nigeria has recorded an additional 643 coronavirus cases according to the latest data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The NCDC made the revelation during its nightly update on coronavirus in Nigeria via the Federal ministry of information official Twitter handle on the 15th of July.

Apparently, some verified twitter accounts got hacked so Twitter blocked other verified accounts from making tweets.

According to the centre, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country now stands at 34,259 confirmed The centre also stated that 13,999 COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus, known formally as SARS-Cov-2.

Meanwhile, 760 people have died from COVID-19 related complications. This means that the active number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Nigerians as of the night of Wednesday, 15th July was 19,500
