Coronavirus Nigeria Update: 501 new infections confirmed; total hits 15,682

Nigeria has recorded additional 501 coronavirus cases according to the latest data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The NCDC made the revelation during its nightly update on coronavirus in Nigeria via its Twitter handle on 12th June.

According to the centre, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country now stands at 15,682. The centre also stated that 5,101 COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from isolations centres across the country. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus, known formally as SARS-Cov-2.

Meanwhile, 407 people have died from COVID-19 related complications. This means that the active number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Nigerians as of the night of Saturday 13th June 2020 was 10,174
