According to the update, the confirmed number of active Coronavirus cases in Nigeria has risen by 549 people. This is down from the number which was recorded yesterday: 579.
The update was released on Wednesday, 22 July and according to the NCDC, the total number of Coronavirus cases in Nigeria now stands at 38,344.
So far, 15,815 people have contracted the virus, have recovered and been discharged. On the other hand, 813 people have succumbed to the virus, with this number rising from 805.
As at the time that this report was released in the late hours of Wednesday, 22 July, there were 22,529 active cases in Nigeria.

“Lagos-180, FCT-86, Kaduna-56, Edo-47, Ondo-37, Kwara-35, Ogun-19, Rivers-19, Kano-17, Ebonyi-16, Enugu-16, Delta-7, Bayelsa-4, Bauchi-3, Abia-1.
“38,344 confirmed; 15,815 discharged; 813 deaths.”
According to the case breakdown, Lagos State remains the state with the highest number of cases at 13,806 cases.
