No victor, no vanquished! Pere and Angel in the finals

Big Brother has announced that Pere and Angel are going back into the BBNaija House for the finals after their toy truck task ended in a stalemate.

For the first time in the reality show’s history, there will be six housemates in the finals instead of the traditional five. Was this the plan all along or did the #JusticeForPere trend force his hand?

After the latest BBNaija twist that saw housemates Pere Egbi and Angel Agnes Smith battle for a place in the finals; Biggie announced that there will be no winner. AND NO LOSER.

Both housemates were free to compete with the rest — Liquorose, Emmanuel, Cross and White Money — for the N90 million grand prize.

Before the announcement, viewers of the show (both fans and neutral observers) have been calling on the show’s organisers to do right by Pere who surpassed Angel by more than 10 per cent votes at the polls on Sunday, 26 September 2021.

Recall that the last live eviction show had seen Queen and lovebirds (Saga and Nini) exit the show. Additionally, Pere and Angel were sneaked into the now notorious White Room where Nini had disappeared into, to prank the housemates this week.

With six housemates now in the running for the grand prize, to be announced on 3 October 2021, there will be no vote splitting. It is now the traditional ‘everybody answer your father’s name’ as only the heavyweights are left.

Who will emerge as the winner on Sunday? It is a tricky thing to predict as alliances may change as fast as the wind changes direction. You can watch this video to see the backstory of the housemates left in the BBNaija House.
