Coronavirus Nigeria update: 48 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Nigeria| See full report

For the past few days, the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has not shared daily Twitter updates on the state of Coronavirus in Nigeria. 

These updates are shared on Twitter and used were shared every day in order to provide Nigerians with a clear and trustworthy avenue for following the progress of the Coronavirus.

After a few days, the NCDC shared a statement which said that they paused the daily updates because of the ongoing #EndSARS protests and the subsequent violence across the country.

Now, the new updates have been shared on NCDC’s Twitter account.

According to the new updates, 48 new cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed in several states in Nigeria.

Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 18 new cases while FCT followed with 13 new cases.

These new numbers, as well as previously recorded unknown numbers bring the total recorded cases to 61,930 confirmed cases.

Additionally, 57,285 people have been successfully treated and discharged from isolation centres. Unfortunately, 1,129 deaths have been recorded since the start of the pandemic in the country.
