From sold out music concert tickets to international award nominations and winning, the Nigerian music industry had one of its best years yet.
So, when Soundcity MVP 2018 Awards held last night at Ekoh Hotels Lagos, it was not surprising that Nigeria artists scoop most of the awards. Interested in the complete list of winners? We have you covered.
But one award that raised not one eye but several among the industry watchers was the announcement of Tanzania singer, Diamond Platnumz, as the winner of the Best male MVP award. The award category incidentally was the only one in which the Tanzania singer got a nomination, yet he won it beating the likes of Davido, Wizkid, Sarkodie amongst others.
