Nigeria has recorded an additional 930 coronavirus cases according to the latest data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The NCDC made the revelation during its nightly update on coronavirus in Nigeria via its Twitter handle on their 16th of December.
This is the highest number of cases recorded in Nigeria within 24 hours yet.
According to the centre, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country now stands at 75, 062 confirmed. The centre also stated that 66,775 COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus, known formally as SARS-Cov-2.
Meanwhile, 1,200 people have died from COVID-19 related complications. This means that the active number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Nigerians as of the night of Wednesday, 16th December was 7, 087
