Swamy Gangeshananda, a religious guru from India who revealed that he could use his genitals again following an incidence of his penis being cut eight months ago, has apparently forgiven the perpertrator of the act; a woman he allegedly attempted to rape.

The 23-year-old woman, who claimed he had sexually abused her for years, reportedly hacked off his penis in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, in India. She was said to have attacked him with a blade she was hiding under a pillow after he attempted to rape her.

But Gangeshananda denied these claims and said he only confessed to the allegations in hospital because he was suffering and wanted medical help. He added that there may have been a group of people involved. He, however, said he has forgiven the perpetrator.

Addressing the incidence on Wednesday, he says: “I  know some people and they were behind the incident. My fate is similar to that of Jesus Christ, who was deceived by people close to him. If I am guilty let it be proven before the court and God. I am ready to accept punishment if I am found guilty. I do not have complaints against anyone and have forgiven those who attacked me.”

Doctors confirmed a fourth operation to fix his penis has been a success.
