Veteran Nollywood actor, Gbolagade Akinpelu AKA Ogun Majek is dead

Veteran Nollywood actor, Gbolagade Akinpelu, who is popularly known as Ogun Majek has died in Ibadan.

The veteran movie star, who delighted Nigerians for years in several movies died at his home in Imalenfalafia in Ibadan, Vanguard is reporting.

Only a few months ago, the actor had gone viral online while he was seeking funds for heart surgery.

The President of Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria, Bolaji Amusan, aka Mr Latin, confirmed his death to PUNCH.

Latin sid, “Yes, he died this morning and our colleagues in Oyo State are there to do all necessary things.

“Everybody knows he was a good man. He was a thorough professional. Our members, both in Nigeria and abroad, including other Nigerians, did all they could to save his life; but unfortunately, we lost him.”
