DC debuted its first trailer for Batman at the DC FanDome, a virtual convention for its superhero brand, DC Entertainment. There, it launched the trailers for this film, Wonder Woman, and many others.
After the first trailer became public, fans took to social media to share their excitement about the wonderful and gritty feel of the movie.
The two-minute teaser shows Batman and his police officer partner, struggling to solve a murder mystery in a dark Gotham City.
“From your secret friend … Let’s play a game, just me and you,” Wright’s Gordon reads from a card left at a murder scene addressed to “the Batman.”
Batman’s introduction is growled as an answer to a question, where he says: “I’m vengeance.”
The film comes out in 2021.
