We'll talk when the time comes - Ooni of Ife on the failure of his marriage

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has released a statement on his marriage breakdown to Olori Wuruola, now Zaynab Otiti Obanor

 

A statement credited, Wednesday, Comrade Moses Olafare, the Director of Media and Public Affairs to the Ooni said the official reaction to the Ooni’s crashed marriage to former Olori Wuraola would be made public soon. Earlier in the day, Her Highness had issued a public statement via her Instagram account, where she stated that lies were being circulated against her.

In what can be seen as a reaction to that statement, the Ooni reportedly made the following statement to the Nigerian Tribune.

“In this era of social media, where people have free access to the internet, as constitutionally permitted by laws of the land, people can say anything.In spite of all being said on the issue, decorum still requires that we in the House of Oduduwa maintains silence, at least for now.This is because marriage is strictly a private matter that should not (be) subjected to (an) undue public uproar. When it is necessary for us to talk, we will surely talk on (about) the issue.”
