Golden Ball: Luka Modric was deservedly given the golden ball award for his influence in taking Croatia to the final. Although he had competition from the likes of Mbappe, he showed a level of maturity and class that just made him impossible to mute in any game. He deserves the award and no true football fan will tell you otherwise.
FIFA Young Player Award: Without an iota of doubt we can all say 19-year-old Kylian Mbappe was the best young player of the tournament, scoring a total of 4 goals for France and troubling the defence of their opponents with a mixture of pace and skill.
Golden boot: Harry kane with a tally of six goals at the World Cup won the Golden boot award, three of those goals coming from spot kicks. Although some may argue that Kane was not the best striker at the tournament he still has the highest goals as no other player managed to outscore him.
