What’s their grievance? Amazon used eBay’s internal messaging system which is originally intended for use between eBay merchants and customers to steal sellers for Amazon.
According to the report, the scheme occurred both internationally and within the U.S. eBay seems to have very strong evidence that this was going on. The actual question is: Was it actually illegal, or just shady behaviour?
eBay is suing on the grounds of “intentional interference with contractual relations and economic relations,” and “fraud and violation of the California penal and business and professions codes.”
eBay sent a cease and desist letter to their competitor on the first of October, but apparently, the seller seduction is still happening.
