Arsenal after playing Leicester City and Liverpool consecutively in the last two rounds of matches in the Carabao Cup will host holders Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the competition, with Manchester United traveling to Everton.
Mikel Arteta, whose Arsenal qualified after beating Liverpool on penalties to reach the last eight, would hope for a repeat of the FA Cup semi-finals last season, which saw Arteta get one over his former mentor en route to winning that trophy. The Spaniard will be hoping history would repeat itself against his fellow countryman in this competition.
Another North London side Tottenham faces an away trip to Championship side Stoke City, who knocked out last year’s finalists, Aston Villa. Brentford will host Newcastle in the club’s first League Cup quarter-final match.
All of the last-eight fixtures will be played on December 22/23, 2020.
