Coronavirus in Nigeria Update: 456 news cases recorded on Friday 3 July

Nigeria has recorded an additional 454 coronavirus cases according to the latest data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The NCDC made the revelation during its nightly update on coronavirus in Nigeria via its Twitter handle on the 3rd of July.

According to the centre, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country now stands at 27,564. The centre also stated that 11,069 COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus, known formally as SARS-Cov-2.

Meanwhile, 628 people have died from COVID-19 related complications. This means that the active number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Nigerians as of the night of Friday 3rd July was 15,867

Lagos-87, Edo-63, FCT-60, Ondo-41, Benue-32, Abia-31, Ogun-29, Oyo-19, Kaduna-17, Delta-16, Enugu-15, Borno-14, Plateau-9, Nasarawa-8, Kano-5, Bauchi-4, Gombe-2, Katsina-1, Kogi-1

27,564 confirmed,  11,069 discharged 628 deaths
