Coronavirus infections in Nigeria hit 627 as 86 more discovered

Nigeria has recorded 86 new cases of the novel Coronavirus infections in Nigeria, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

In a tweet sent late last night Sunday, the NCDC reported 70 cases in Lagos, 7 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, 3 in Kastina, 3 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Jigawa, Bauchi and Borno respectively.

The health agency also recorded an increase of two deaths, bringing total casualties to 21.

However, the number of discharged patients has risen by 4 to 170.

Eighty-six new cases of #COVID19 have been reported; 70 in Lagos, 7 in FCT, 3 in Katsina, 3 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Jigawa, 1 in Bauchi, 1 in Borno,” NCDC writes on their official Twitter handle.

As at 11:50 pm 19th April there are 627 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Discharged: 170 Deaths: 21” the tweet adds.
