Coronavirus Nigeria update: 322 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Nigeria

The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has shared a fresh update on the state of Coronavirus in Nigeria

The NCD shares daily updates on their official Twitter account, and these updates help Nigerians to monitor the rate of the spread of the virus within the country.

For a while, it looked like the virus spread was on a download slope, but yesterday, 24 August, the report indicated a sharp upward movement in the number of recorded cases.

According to the latest report, Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with 98 cases, while Abuja follows with 34 cases and then Kaduna with 30 cases.

The total number of COVID-19 related cases recorded in Nigeria is now at 52548, 39257 people have been successfully treated and discharged while, unfortunately, 1004 people have succumbed to the virus.

Nigeria crossed the 1000 COVID-related mark yesterday, 24 August. Scientists all over the world continue to work to find a cure for the virus. Russia, however, claims to have found it already.
